The dry season runs from November to May, with February and March being the driest and hottest months of the year. The rainy season, from June to October, does not prevent travel, as the rains are not heavy. The best time to travel to Cameroon is late October and early January.

Sanidad - Vacunas

Yellow fever vaccination is mandatory, and typhus, cholera, hepatitis, tetanus, typhoid and meningitis vaccinations are recommended. It is important to turn to the International Vaccination Center for the latest information.


A visa is required to enter the country. This can be processed at the Embassy of Cameroon in Madrid.


The currency of Chad is the CFA Franc. It is not easy to pay with a credit card or withdraw money at ATMs, so it is best to change euros or dollars to local currency either at the airport, banks or hotels. Currently, 1 euro is equivalent to 655 CFA.
