Viajar a Angola

A place to discover

Angola is one of those undiscovered corners of the world. Travelling to Angola is an experience in which you will be fascinated by the culture and geography of the country. There we can find newly established national parks, remnants of the country’s Portuguese colonial past, as well as an ethnic diversity which can only be compared to the Omo Valley in Ethiopia.Angola offers both a unique cultural heritage and a natural beauty that will not leave its visitors indifferent. Its coastline is wild, accompanied by beautiful, unspoilt sandy beaches. The interior of the country is mountainous with deep gorges, waterfalls and a semi-desert in the south, inhabited by ethnic groups whose traditions remain intact. On any trip to Angola, its complex and rich ethnography has to be taken into consideration. The ethnic groups of the south are unique. Peoples such as the Mucubai, Muhimba, Muhacaona or Mudimbas take us back to the past.In any experience in Angola, for this reason, the coexistence with these communities is essential. The Portuguese colonial past is another of the key elements of Angola. Luanda (a metropolis of contrasts), Lobito and Lubango are cities where you can feel the country’s colonial heritage. Santiago beach, with its stranded boats, the Cunene River, the Kalandula waterfalls and Namibe, the gateway to a journey between the desert dunes and the Atlantic Ocean, add a first-rate scenic bonus to a trip to Angola.
